WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility audit completed

An independent accessibility audit of OpenGovPortal was completed in August 2026. All ten public pages were assessed against WCAG 2.1 level AA using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation and contrast checking tools.

No critical issues were found. Three minor issues that were reported, namely focus order in the mobile menu, the label on the search button and text contrast on broadcast type badges, were fixed in version 0.7.0.

The full report is kept with the project documentation and the audit will be repeated at every major release.
