Behind the scenes: bilingual search

Whenever content is published, the portal copies its title and text into a single index table with separate columns for Bahasa Malaysia and English. PostgreSQL builds a full-text index on each column, so search runs inside the same database without an extra service.

Results are ranked by content type priority and match score. Administrators can also add promoted links for specific keywords, for example showing the Contact Us page at the top when a visitor searches for "contact".

This approach keeps costs low and makes installation straightforward for small agencies.
