Five tips for writing bilingual content
Good bilingual content is not a word-for-word translation. Five tips from the editorial team:
- Write the full Bahasa Malaysia version first, then rewrite it in English with the same meaning.
- Keep sentences under 25 words. Short sentences are easier to translate and to read.
- Use the portal glossary so feature names stay consistent in both languages.
- Avoid abbreviations without an explanation on first use.
- Read both versions aloud before publishing.
